Adrian E. LaTrace Board of Advisors - Wind and Solar Energy

Adrian E. LaTrace

Mr. Adrian E. LaTrace is the President of LaTrace Partners a firm focused on the development of early to mid-stage businesses in the alternative energy industry. Adrian brings to the firm over 25 years of leadership experience in the renewable energy, aerospace and electronics industries. Most recently, Mr. LaTrace was the Chief Executive Officer of Mainstream Renewable Power North America, where he was responsible for the company’s wind and solar development, construction and O&M business activities in the USA and Canada. Under his leadership, Mainstream expanded their wind power development pipeline further establishing the company’s position in the North American market.

Prior to joining Mainstream, Mr. LaTrace led the establishment of Acciona Windpower’s North American business. This included the successful launch of Acciona’s USA-based wind turbine manufacturing and installation business responsible for installing over 500MWs of wind power in the United States within the first 3 years of operation. The ramp up was the fastest of any Acciona Energy’s vast global industrial operations.

His early career includes executive and senior leadership positions in several world-class companies including Gulfstream Aerospace, Knowles Electronics, USRobotics and Hughes Aircraft Company. As part of his broad industrial sector experience, Mr. LaTrace has extensive international business operations experience in Europe, Asia, Mexico and Canada.

Mr. LaTrace earned his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and has a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from The Citadel. He is a USAF veteran having served as a Communication-Electronics Officer.
